important things
First thing that needs to be determined is if your patient will benefit from Physical Therapy. If the answer is yes, the next step to do is to fill out a prescription with the patient’s name, date of birth, diagnosis, the frequency and duration that you would like your patient to be seen for. The last step is to have your patient call and schedule their first initial evaluation. This appointment takes about an hour,
Yes there is. The patient will perform some exercises during their Physical Therapy session, from there, the treating therapist will give some exercises and directions to the patient to do at home that they feel will benefit them best.
A combination of modalities and manual treatment followed by evidence based exercise program is what is commonly used in our practice. We find both hands on and modalities along with our specialization in teaching proper exercise or stretches recovers our patient faster with less return of symptoms or re-injury.
Most definitely. If you believe that your patient will benefit from Physical Therapy before having surgery, then you’ve come to the right place! We will get them as prepared as possible. After surgery we can start the recovery process so they are healed correctly and able to resume back to their normal everyday life.

Tell us your plan
Here is ours
We schedule our patients for a 45 minute evaluation and 45 minute follow up sessions. All evaluations are typed and sent to the referring physician. They will include a treatment plan and goals for each individual patient. When the patient returns to their physician for a follow up appointment, we will type up a progress note and send it to the physician to make them aware of the progress. Having worked in the capital region for many years, we are familiar with physician’s protocols and procedures. Our goal is to get our patients back to their normal daily activities with our skilled one on one physical therapy.
